Live Earth concerts this weekend

On July 7 in cities spanning 7 continents, concerts will bring together
more than 100 music artists, including Madonna, The Police, Lenny Kravitz,
Sheryl Crow, Jack Johnson and The Beastie Boys, and 2 billion people to
trigger a global movement to solve the climate crisis.

The goal of Live Earth is to inspire people around the world to respond to
the climate crisis by taking urgent and lasting action.

In Canada, CTV stations will carry live coverage beginning at 10 pm ET on
Friday, July 6, when the first artist take the stage in Sydney, Australia,
and continue until 11 pm ET on Saturday, July 7, when the historic event
concludes at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. (In the US, NBC will cover the
concerts.)

Live Earth Canadian Events

Montreal: Giant screens will be set up at the Jacques Cartier Pier and
will carry some of Live Earth's global events, between 6 and 8 p.m.
Saturday night July 7th, and then the live local concert will begin at
8:30 pm.

Toronto: Yonge-Dundas Square and Yonge Street from Dundas Street to Shuter
Street on Saturday, July 7, noon–8 p.m. Giant screens will broadcast the
Live Earth events from around the globe.

Vancouver: Global Habitat Festival is a Friends of Live Earth outdoor
music festival in Vancouver on July 7, 2007.
Featuring live music, an eco-village and live coverage of the monumental
global event Live Earth.
Global Habitat Festival aims to raise public awareness about solutions to
climate change and inspire people to be part of the solution by making
meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.

Location: Robson Square, Vancouver BC next to the Vancouver Art Gallery
