Speak the F**k up!

Wed. June 16, 7:30 p.m.
Clinton's Tavern, 693 Bloor Street West

This Magazine & rabble.ca co-host a panel discussion on the G8/G20’s
agenda on global maternal health. Does Canada have any business
leading the charge on these issues? Shouldn’t we look to our own back
yard first?

We think this will be a lively and provocative discussion.
Judy Rebick will moderate, and the panel will include Josephine Grey
of Low-Income Families Together, Antonia Zerbisias and others

The event will be live-streamed if you can’t make it in person.

Pig Business - The film and panel discussion
Beyond Factory Farming invites you to a panel discussion on the true
costs of cheap meat following a special screening of Pig Business, an
investigation documentary by UK filmmaker and local food activist
Tracy Worcester.

7 PM, Wednesday, June 16
Al Green Theatre, 750 Spadina Avenue (at Bloor Street)
  http://www.algreentheatre.ca/For
more information and to RSVP:
  http://pigbusiness.eventbrite.com/

Pig Business is the result of Worcester's four-year investigation into
the devastating impacts intensive farming is having on the
environment, human health, rural livelihoods and animal welfare. Pig
Business documents Polish resistance to large-scale factory farming
and shows that consumers do have a choice - by choosing local,
humanely produced and organic pork, consumers can support local
farmers, animal welfare and the environment.
