Ride4RealFood raises funds to support better access to fresh, healthy and local food for low-income people. In exchange for their work in community gardens and kitchens, participants earn coop creds that can then be used to shop at the West End Food Coop or the Sorauren Farmers Market.  Since no money is exchanged, participants are protected from social assistance claw-back restrictions. The whole community benefits from increased production of fresh, nutritious food, and a local food system more people can afford.
