"I suspect that under NAFTA, the U.S. will be able to send its nuclear wastes to this facility. In 2008, for no reason, the deep water port at the Bruce site was rebuilt. We have no new construction. Why do we need a deep water port except to take nuclear wastes over the Great Lakes to this site?"

Switzerland pre-distributes KI pills to residents living within a 50 km radius of a nuclear facility. New Brunswick pre-distributes KI pills in a 20 km radius. In Ontario, only those residents living within a 10 km radius of nuclear stations receive them.
